hi there, hope you are enjoying summer as much as i do (swimming in the sea, kayaking, laying in the sun, walking, sleeping outside, ...)

but ofcourse... still working for the Gentse Feesten!

here's a peek at the fabrics for new floral skirts!

and also, a few pictures of upcycled reversible bags (from curtains, pillows, ...)

there is one little downer for the Gentse Feesten... normally I would offer ecological T-shirts for men and women, BUT because of a little problem with the drawing and time.. there will be no T-shirts :(

hopefully, after the Gentse Feesten, I'll print some for Etsy!

i'll update you next week about our spot at the Gentse Feesten with a little plan on how to find us!

hi there!

just to let you know that i'm still alive and kicking and sewing for the big market at the Gentse Feesten! I wish I had more time to blog en show you pictures..

I'm here to tell something really, really nice! or so I think... ;)

Since the beginning of Queen Nefertete, I wanted to do something with ecological fabrics, but they were pretty hard to find in Belgium!

last week I found a nice company from the Netherlands with eco fabrics, excited as I was, I ordered a few fabric samples to see what the fabrics looked like in real life and I was stunned!

Pretty colours, soft fabrics, ... = PERFECT!

(and a really lovely fabric with a lovely pattern!!)

I'm going to order a few colours to make some prototypes!

After the "Gentse Feesten" (end of July) this will be my main collection!

I'm planning to work with an ecological collection and combine it with my one-of-a-kind collection (ofcourse!)

To all you green people, keep your eyes open!

a little etsy update

I added a two in one book bag to my own collection!

and 3 pretty vintage items to my vintage collection!

tomorrow (after my work), i will add some more vintage items!

it was my plan to add looooots of them last weekend, but, fever had other plans!

i'm so happy i can move again after 4 days of sickness

this weekend, I went to see a dance performance "Follow the fire" by Maya Sapera Dance Company and Gori Ka Dance Orchestra!

AND... in this performance the dancers were wearing my costumes during a very nice bollywood salsa song!

these aren't the best pictures ever, I sat on the 5th row and I had a little fever, so I wasn't at my best!

a new, wonderful thing happened in our caravan!

we have a flooooor! a linoleum floor!

and we did it ourselves! (not the easiest thing...)

actually, we we're looking for a simple wooden linoleum floor, you know, "with a real wood feeling"

but then we saw this pretty baby and we both went crazy, so we bought it!

last week we had another round of painting in our caravan

the weather (28C°) explains the outfits, we ripped our jeans and shirts, haha

- our caravan is EMPTY thanks to our helpers, thank yoou ;) !

- colours are chosen (pink, purple, blue, green, gold, ... yep, it will be a very colourful caravan!)

- we found pretty clothing racks & boxes

- we bought painting costumes... in SIZE XL. yay, looking like complete idiots while painting :D

- purple wall DONE & blue walls DONE

- we have pretty ideas for the floor & ceiling & curtains

and last but not least, we had a tons of FUN :)

it may look a little crappy at the moment, but our baby will look splendid after we finish her!

a few days ago I went to Shari to check out our new caravan, sit around and talk about the colours, the furniture, trying to un-screw (veryyy slowly) some old furniture to make place for new things.

shari found herself a hammer and decided to smash everything into little pieces and yes, it was fun!

bye-bye crappy, old furniture, make room for better things!

our caravan is now emty and ready to repair, paint, restyle and fill with loads of pretty things!

next step: choosing colours and refilling holes

tidiiii... let a new journey begin!

here she is... our little shop on wheels!

we (my dearest friend shari and me) bought it last week and we're going to make a little shop of it for festivals, parties, markets, ...

our baby still looks a little dirty and old-fashioned, but we're gonna give her a facelift the coming weeks! fun! throwing things out, cleaning, painting, stitching, styling, ... and making lots of fun stuff for in the shop! :)

i'm so excited, we're going to be a great team together! ♥

turning 20 was sweet!

Turning 20 yesterday was sweet and snowy with a perfect breakfast, chocolat hearts & pink sweets, a sushi evening, a chocolat fondue night, the best boyfriend ever (come on, PINK sweets♥) and lots of nice messages from lovely people!

The weird thing is... SNOW? (It was ages ago it snowed on my birthday)

I remember turning 18, which is only two years ago and it was 17°C that day!

Conclusion: weather is strange and we're all going to freeze! :)

THEY LOOK SUPER FANCY

I expected yellowish paper, because the prints are eco friendly, a little preconception, I know.

We were very surprised to see that the paper is shinyyy and the prints look better than I hoped for!

These business cards are printed on FSC certified paper! No recycled paper, but a ecological alternative, if you are interested, read all about it on their homepage.

snow is magical

It was a very white weekend and I loved it! I went for a few freeezing-my-ears-off-walks, but it was really wonderful. Snow gives the world a magical touch.

And inspiration to me. More scarfs, mooooore I tell you. I wish I had 6 pair of arms!

I found this pretty brand Ellita this weekend on Etsy. They have amazing things (I want them all).

Now I wish even more I had 6 pair of arms, too much inspiration for one weekend.

Hi there! How I wish I had more time to show what I've been up to.

It's been a few busy weeks with school and it will soon be time for exams.

So my time off for other things is very very little.
